We are thrilled to invite you to our first EWA Special of the year on February 28th at 7 PM CET – an evening dedicated to sustainable wool, regional production, and innovation in Europe’s textile sector.
Our guest speaker, MSc Blátnaid Gallagher, is a passionate advocate for native Irish wool, biodiversity, and ethical farming. As the founder of the Galway Wool Co-op, she has played a key role in preserving and promoting Galway Wool, Ireland’s only native sheep breed. Her dedication to sustainable wool production and regional supply chains has made a lasting impact – and was recently recognized in Brussels, where the Galway Wool Co-op received high commendation at the EU-CAP ARIA awards for its contribution to the Socio Fabric of Rural Areas.
