EWA at the International Workshop: "Back in Fashion – Textile Heritage and Its Contribution to the Future of the Textile and Apparel Sectors"
The European Wool Association (EWA) is honored to participate in the International Workshop "Back in Fashion: Textile Heritage and Its Contribution to the Future of the Textile and Apparel Sectors", taking place at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Lisbon, on April 14-15, 2025. This workshop is organized as part of the HERITEX-HUB project, funded by COST – European Cooperation in Science and Technology.
HERITEX-HUB aims to connect Textile Heritage research with the modern textile and fashion industries, promoting sustainability and fostering collaborations across policy, economy, and business sectors. This event serves as a key platform for dialogue, enabling industry representatives and researchers to explore synergies, identify knowledge gaps, and develop transformative strategies for sustainable textile production.
The workshop will feature brief presentations from participating organizations (up to 15 minutes), alongside practice-oriented roundtables and group discussions. The insights gathered will contribute to the development of a Directory of Transformative Projects in Sustainable Textiles and Fashion and Guidelines on communicating Textile Heritage research to industry stakeholders.
EWA is committed to strengthening the role of European wool within this framework and looks forward to engaging in discussions on how textile heritage can drive innovation and sustainability in the wool sector.
